This isn’t for the deceased, it’s for us that are alive

This isn’t for the deceased, it’s for us that are alive

That heavy rain yesterday wasn’t funny.

The main gate of University of Nigeria Nsukka, the one opposite car wash(borehole) witnessed a serious flood, which covered the roads and made it difficult to differentiate between the main road and the gutters.
Even as it was raining, a bike man was still on the road with his passenger, who happened to be a student of UNN and both got drowned.

You might have seen the picture as it has already gone viral on social media.

Now the question is, for how long are we going to keep sounding it? When will you learn to stay at a place and wait for the rain to be over before stepping out? Where exactly are you going to? What is it that can’t wait? Must it be done under the rain? So many questions to ask, and there are no reasonable answers to them. Must we really be victims before we learn? Do we really value our existence?

Now this isn’t for the deceased, it’s for us that are alive.
Please be careful and once it starts raining, do not dare to step out! If you are out already, find somewhere and wait for the rain to stop!

Your existence matters a lot! Be alive first and then you can think of other things(your essence)
